Many customers ask us if our C8H can machine a Super welding coupon and the answer is yes, absolutely! A Super welding coupon has a 2.75" O.D. with a 0.625 wall thickness; sometimes also referred to as a Monster welding coupon. This Super welding coupon simplifies the welder qualification series and can actually reduce costs.
Our machines are safe, and easy to operate and maintain. They use standard "off the shelf" economical carbide inserts that last for hundreds of coupons, providing you with a very low cost per part and a perfect machined finish. These machines, along with a standard band saw, make an excellent coupon production system.
The Model C8H ChamferMate® is a heavy duty, hydraulic
powered pipe beveling machine with up to 8-5/8” OD
capacity. With 20 HP, the C8H has the power to machine
weld bevels and other forms on the end of heavy wall pipe
and tubing within the diameter range.
