MSI will be demonstrating a Model C8H ChamferMate® in booth #1212 at the Houstex Show at the George R. Brown Convention Center from February 24 to 26. These machines are ideal for the fastener, pipe fabrication, and tube processing industries.
The Model ChamferMate®C8H is a heavy-duty, hydraulic-powered pipe beveling machine with capacity up to 8” pipe. With 20 HP, the C8H has the power to machine weld bevels and other forms on the end of heavy wall pipe and tubing within its range.

“We took delivery of this machine in February, and have chamfered pipe from 2″ to 8″ in diameter. For the pipe we cut, it takes an average of 20 seconds per chamfer. This allows us to have our saw operators doing the chamfering in line with the sawing. Our operators can set a part on the saw and then set up the bevel while the next part is being sawed. In fact, the process is so much more efficient, we can have the same operator also add the roll stencil marking to the pipe. A pipe now comes out of this station ready to weld.”
