Gaffney Bolt uses the Model C3A ChamferMate® to chamfer rods for bolts that are 3/8” to 2” diameter and 3” to 36" long; the chamfered bolts are A36, 1045, 4140, and other varieties of stainless steel material. They also use the C3A to create cone points on bolts; cone points are used on lag bolts.

The Model C3A ChamferMate® is a chamfering and beveling machine featuring a rigid ductile iron vise, top plate and spindle housing, linear ball rails, a heavy-duty three-bearing spindle and an electronic variable-speed drive to provide years of dependable service. The ChamferMate C3A is commonly used as a deburring, chamfering, and beveling machine. With a 1/2" to 3" OD capacity (2-1/2" pipe), solid bar, bolts, pipe, and tubing can be machined or deburred easily and efficiently.
