For many applications, hand assembly of nuts onto studs, bolts, and other items is not an effective solution because of volume. Often, however, application begin with hand assembly but find that as operations expand and volume increase the hand strain caused by hand assembly is taxing. Hand assembly is also a slower process and as volume increases the costs in time become apparent.
The solution for slow, taxing hand assembly are nut assembly tables. Assembly tables allow for increased threading speed. For example, this fastener supplier increased their capacity from 300 bolts per hour to over 1,000 (with one person manning the machine) or 2,000 (with both stations manned) per hour when they switched from manual threading to an assembly table.
In the video below you can see the NutMate® assembly table in action.
NutMate® nut assembly tables are used extensively in the fastener industry for assembling nuts onto studs, bolts, and similar items prior to shipment. Easy changeover and simple operation speeds the assembly process.
