END MARKING BOLTS is not an easy thing to do. The parts are odd shaped, difficult to hold, and made of high hardness material.
Marking inserts are used with the MarkMate® to end mark bolts. The bolts are end marked by securing them on the MarkMate® table and impacting them with a marking insert.
Typically a 1/2" round x 1" long insert is used for marking. End marking bolt inserts can be made with most standard characters and even custom logos if you require one.
A type holder can be added to the backstop to mark the opposite side simultaneously. This allows you to mark both ends of the bolt at the same time delivering a repeatable process that permanently identifies the bolt.
Marking inserts can be used for end marking bolts to mark the grade of material, manufactures symbol, or heat number. Bolt marking inserts are easy to change on the MarkMate®. They can be changed in a matter of minutes, allowing increased productivity.
Custom end marking bolt inserts with various characters & symbols, ranging in size and dimension, can be made upon request. Inserts for other machines can also be custom made for end marking bolts.
